Winning isn’t everything

Winners don’t whine
They think they are fine,
It doesn’t matter what time
They live on the line.

By not always winning,
you gain the ability for good sportsmanship
and the patience to know you did your best
and the knowledge to go the extra mile.
Granted, winning is the best part,
but if you win all the time,
how can you improve yourself and grow.

It’s been made obvious
that we should not focus on winning in what we do –
because there are more important things to focus on.
In losing, you learn more about yourself
and how you can improve yourself
for the next time you are faced with that challenge.
