Pierre Jaycees – General Membership Meeting Minutes
April 5, 2004 

CALL TO ORDER, by Peg Henson at 7:05 pm.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE led by Dennis.

INTRODUCTIONS were made by all.  Members present: Kevin Freestone, Jamie Freestone, Amanda Roadcap, Steve VanMullem, Peg Henson, Libbie Whited, Tamara Guether, Dennis Ryckman, Jeremy Tetinger, and Dana Yarger.

APPROVAL OF AGENDA

• Amanda made a motion to approve the agenda 
• Tamara seconded the motion
• Motion carried

SECRETARY’S REPORT

• None to give

TREASURER’S REPORT

• $1515.42 in accounts receivable
• $1927.40 in accounts payable
• - $411.98 total
• Dennis made a motion to approve treasurer’s report
• Amanda seconded the motion
• Motion carried

MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT

• Batting Cages - $1000 worth of tickets (25 tokens for $20)
• 10 punch cards for $150
• Raffle tickets ($5 each or 3/$10)
• State Pitch, Hit, & Run: May 22
• Registration at 9:30 am
• Batting Cage & Concessions available
• Volunteers needed: contact Laura
• Cookbook Project:  Need recipes to Amanda by May 22
• Chamberlain Extension: April 19 – 22nd
• Tamara made a motion to accept management development report
• Jeremy seconded the motion
• Motion carried

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

• Discussion on the St. Patty’s Day Parade
• Had 45 entrants
• Local Pitch, Hit, & Run – is May 1
• Kevin made a motion to accept the community development report
•  Dana seconded the motion
• Motion carried

INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT

• No additions
• Jamie motioned to accept individual development
• Amanda seconded the motion
• Motion carried

MEMBERSHIP

• March Retentions: = 3
• February drops = 1
• May social will be a movie night at Amanda’s
• Membership director is Kevin Freestone
• Laura made a motion to approve the membership report
• Jamie seconded the motion
• Motion carried

OLD BUSINESS

• To order t-shirts or tank tops contact Amanda or Peg
• They say “Pierre Pressure” on them

NEW BUSINESS

• First Trimester CPG’s are due April 30
• Get them to Peg by April 12
• Regional Rally is April 17
• Pierre Jaycee’s to provide pot luck
• May convention is May 14 in Rapid City
• Party on the Prairie is Aug 7^th in Plankinton
• Jaycee Idol – 3 people from SD will be chosen to compete, Nationals will choose 10 people from the US to compete in New Orleans

DISTRICT DIRECTOR COMMENTS

• We need all Pierre Jaycee’s to help with pot luck dinner on April 17 for the Regional Rally

PRESIDENT’S COMMENTS

• Steve is doing the newsletter – get articles to him by Friday, April 9
